Recovery procedures are provided in case an appliance engine loses its code banks either completely or in part (for example, a disk failure or a logical-partition corruption occurs). The appliance code system image is obtained by booting the appliance with the Recovery Boot diskette. This allows the Recovery CD to boot and start the restore procedure. The Recovery CD is supplied with the appliance. The Recovery Boot diskette is available at www.ibm.com/storage/support/nas.
