VTSGRXCL.TXT                                                   




This package allows a VTS Health Assessment to be produced using Powerpoint and an Excel spreadsheet.

The VTSSTATS package which is contained in IBMTOOLS.EXE is also 
required to produce flat files from the SMF Type 94 data.

Getting started with VTSGRXCL package.




NOTE:  Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint for Windows are required.  



Step 1.  Create a VTSANAL subdirectory on the C: drive of your PC.  
	 The XLS Workbook and PPT  presentation MUST be placed in the C:\VTSANAL subdirectory 
	 or the links to the PowerPoint presentations will NOT WORK.

Step 2.  Download:

	1.  VTSANAL9.XLS - this is the Excel spreadsheet for VTS analysis.

	2.  VTSGRPH9.PPT - this is the PowerPoint presentation for creating foils from VTSANAL9.XLS.





WARNING!!!  DO NOT OPEN VTSGRPH9.PPT UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO IN THE DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS!!!		  


Step 4.  Start MS-Excel for Windows.


Step 5.  Click on "File", then "Open"


Step 6.  Locate C:\VTSANAL\VTSANAL9.XLS in the file selection window, and double-click on it.  
	 It will take a few seconds to load.


Step 7.  The "INSTRUCTIONS" sheet should display.  Print the instructions in  HORIZONTAL 
	 (landscape) format, being sure to print only the CURRENT SHEET.  

Step 8.  The detailed instructions are contained in the instructions which you have just printed.
	 NOTE: These instructions have changed somewhat with this version. Please review.
