To install this patch: 1. If needed unpack the contents of "disrupd.exe". The above files listed above will be unpacked and should be placed on a "Floppy Diskette" or a "Directory/Folder". Patches will not properly install if applied "Headless" via Terminal Services. 2. From the IBM NAS console (accessible either by directly attaching a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the node, or by using Windows Terminal Services from another workstation on the network; see the User's Reference for more details), start a DOS command prompt by clicking the Start button at the bottom left-hand corner of the console, and then selecting Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt. 3. At the DOS command prompt, type "x:fixes\NFD212update"(Note x:\fixes 'x' is the drive and 'fixes' is the directory where the fixes are located). The update will copy IBM Director Support Program files from the diskette/folder to the appliance hard drive, and then automatically launch the IBM Director Network Drivers application, providing instructions on how to enable the IBM Director TCP/IP drivers. Follow the instructions provided. Once you have closed the Network Drivers application, the update will be complete. 4. Remove the diskette/folder from the IBM NAS Appliance. No Reboot is necessary.
