Description

This interim fix applies to IBM® InfoSphere™ Classification Module 8.7 Fix Pack 1 and provides the following improvements:
  • Robust handling of API functionality that uses "text with ID"
  • Modified server timeout parameters to prevent timeout issues

This interim fix must be installed if you plan to use Classification Module with IBM DataCap Taskmaster Capture Version 8.0.1 Fix Pack 2. If you will not use IBM InfoSphere Classification Module with IBM DataCap Taskmaster Capture, you do not need to install this interim fix.

Prerequisites

IBM InfoSphere Classification Module 8.7 Fix Pack 1 is the prerequisite.

Installation information

To install the interim fix:

  1. Download the IBM InfoSphere Classification Module 8.7 Fix Pack 1 Interim Fix 1 installation program (icmsetup87_win32_FP1_IF1.exe) to a temporary directory.
  2. Stop the IBM InfoSphere Classification Module Process Manager service.
  3. Back up the ICM_Home\Bin directory. ICM_Home is the IBM InfoSphere Classification Module installation directory.
  4. Run the interim fix installation program.
Important: If you are installing on Windows 7, you must run the installation program as an administrator. Right-click the icmsetup87_win32.exe file and select Run as Administrator. If you receive a warning message such as the Program Compatibility Assistant message after the installation program finishes, select This program installed correctly. This message is displayed due to a compatibility issue between the version of Install Anywhere that is used for the installation process and the version of the operating system of the computer on which you run the installation program.
  5. Start the IBM InfoSphere Classification Module Process Manager service.
