About this fix pack

This iFix contains fixes for the IBM® WebSphere® Presence Server, Version 6.2 release.

Fix and update history

This iFix includes fixes for the following APARs:

  1. APAR LI72632:

    Presence Server sometimes gets into an overload state when running with the WatcherInfo feature enabled and working against an external provider.

  2. APAR LI72633:

    When Presence Server receives more than one PUBLISH message at the same time, the server throws an SQL exception that can cause future functionality problems. It may happen when Presence Server works against external providers.

Installation instructions

Before you begin:

  1. Download the WebSphere 6.1.0.11 Update Installer plug-in from this location: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&context=SSEQTP&context=SSCMGN&dc=D430&dc=D410&dc=D420&dc=D400&dc=DB550&q1=update%20installer&uid=swg24012718&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en
  2. Download 6.2.0.0-WS-WAS-IMS-UPDIPlugins.pak at this location: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/websphere/ims/6.2.updi/6.2.0.0-WS-WAS-IMS-UPDIPlugins.pak
  3. Run the Update Installer to install the .pak file you downloaded in step 2.
  4. Exit the Update Installer.

To apply the iFix, complete the following steps:

  1. Download the Presence Server iFix package 6.2.0-WS-WAS-Presence-Server-IF000001.pak.
  2. Run the Update Installer to install the Presence Server iFix package.
