Click the ellipsis ("...") to open the dialog, and type one or more predefined names. The default options for specific types of Install Check Panels are as follows:
- Installed Product Check Panel
- "patch" - Verifies that there is a previous installation of the Product whose UID matches that of the Root Product of this project. This previous installation can be anywhere on the target machine, but the project's Root Product must have a Version that is equal to or higher than the one for the Product that was found on the target machine. See the MultiPlatform User's Guide, Chapter 11 Advanced Installs: Updates and Patches for more detailed information.
- Update/Patch Checks Panel
- "patch" - See the definition above.
- "patchTarget" - Same as "update" below, but fails if there is no Product on the target machine in the target Install Location whose UID matches that of the project's Root Product.
- "update" - Verifies that the Version of the root Product in the project is equal to or higher than that of the Product on the target machine in the target Install Location. If the Product is not found on the target machine, this check is still successful.
- Install Check Panel - Includes the values in the Update/Patch Checks Panel above, plus:
- "dependencies" - Checks all required dependencies identified in the Required property for the product, features, and component beans in the product tree.
- "diskspace - Checks for sufficient disk space on all affected file systems on the target machine.
Additional Check Names may also be available for certain Platform Packs. See the Platform Pack Help for additional Check Names options for the platform(s) you are targeting.
