Submit a job

Use this page to submit a job.

To view this administrative console page, click Job Management > Submit a job. Use the wizard to provide job information.

Privileges in the job management console vary, depending on assigned roles. Users with the lrsubmitter role can only submit and manage their own jobs. Users with the lradmin role can save, modify, and delete jobs in the job repository. Also, a user with the lradmin role can create, modify, or delete recurring job schedules.

Step 1: Specify job

Specify the path of the job definition to submit as a new job.

  1. Use the Browse button to locate and specify the full path of a local file, or type in the job name.
  2. Check Job repository if the job definition is stored at the grid scheduler's job repository.
  3. If you have a lradmin role, check Save to save the job definition to the job repository.
  4. Click Submit to run the job now. Otherwise, click Next.
Step 2: Specify job properties

Specify the values for substitution properties for the job.

Click Submit to submit the job now. Otherwise, click Next. Click Cancel to cancel the submission.

Step 3: Specify when to run job

Specify when to run the job.

  • Select Now to run the job now, or select Later and type in the specified later time and date.
  • Click Previous to go back to step 2.
  • Click Submit to submit the job to the grid scheduler.
  • Click Cancel to cancel the submission.
