Installing a configuration that uses IBM HTTP Server and IBM DB2 UDB on Solaris--Typical Installation
The steps that follow describe the easiest way to install a configuration of
WebSphere Application Server that uses the following--
- Solaris 7 or 8
- Java 2 Software Development Kit (SDK) 1.3 (version supplied with WebSphere Application Server)
- IBM HTTP Server 1.3.19
- DB2 Universal Database (UDB) 7.2
- A single node
Before installing, check the WebSphere Application Server Supported Hardware, Software, and APIs Web site at
www.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/doc/latest/prereq.html
to ensure that you have the correct prerequisites, including operating system patches.
