4.2.1.2: Servlet support and environment in WebSphere
IBM WebSphere Application Server supports the Java Servlet
API from Sun Microsystems.
The product builds upon the specification
in two ways.
Article 4.2.1.2.2 describes several IBM
extensions to the specification to make it easier to manage session
state, create personalized Web pages, generate better servlet error
reports, and access databases.
See article 4.2.1.2.1a
for a description of the Servlet API 2.2 specification.
