New Updates and Changes IBM® WebSphere® Business Integration (WBI) Workbench Server™ v4.2.3 Fixpack

General, Deployment, and Login Updates:

The authentication of the LDAP security mode has been changed as follows:
The user can now login to the WBI Workbench Server client using only his/her user ID. In this case, the application queries the LDAP Server for the full DN of this user, and then uses the obtained full DN with the given password for login.
New parameters have been added to the Automatic Deployment Wizard if the selected security mode is LDAP:

  1. User DN & User Password : A valid LDAP Distinguished Name and password for a user that is authorized to read from and search in the LDAP server users tree.
  2. Root DN: The starting point in the LDAP tree from which the query will start searching for the full DN of the given user ID.
  3. Naming Attribute ID: The name of the prefix that preceds the user ID in the LDAP Server database (i.e. CN, UID,...etc). The value of this parameter varies between the different types of LDAP Servers.(i.e.: In Active Directory services, it is CN; while in IPlanet, it is UID .
  4. DN Attribute ID: The name of the Distinguished Name attribute ID (i.e.: In Active Directory services, it is distinguishedName; while in IPlanet, it is entrydn).

Security System Updates:

  1. Allow multiple selections of users to be added to, or deleted from a group.
  2. Allow multiple selections of groups that a user is added to, or deleted from.
  3. A new button - “Validate” - has been added in the Constraints page to validate the constraint expression.
  4. An Assistance area that contains three new combo boxes have been added in the Constraints page to allow the user to select organization Name, Process Name or Process Version.

  5. The user Distinguished Name (DN) is now displayed in the Users page, User Information page, and Group Information page, in addition to the descriptive (Display) name.

BPM Web Publisher Updates:

  1. The printing has been improved to display borders, headers and footers.
  2. Allow using the UTF-8 code page for database.
  3. In the search feature using an external web application UI, each returned URL is now composed of three sections: the object's URL, the object's display path, and the object's description.
  4. Paths coming out of binary decisions are now labeled with "yes" and "no."
  5. The Phi State now appears in the process diagram, providing that this option has been previously selected in the WBI Workbench Drawing Options dialog box.
  6. The External Entities colors now appears in the Processes diagrams according to their settings in the WBI Workbench's drawing options.
  7. The Working and Elapsed Durations of a task appear complete without truncation.
  8. The Phi State and Phi Type appears now in the Phi Report.
  9. A new report - Decision Report - has been added. It is displayed by clicking any decision in the selected process diagram.
