CONNECTOR REVISIONS

This patch contains the following revisions since the last maintenance release:

Available as of Version APAR Number CR Number Feature Description
4.8.3 JR17094 19984 All Generate an error message if the adapter get an out-of-memory error.
4.8.3 JR17094 15648 Rfc-Server Module Events from the RFC Server Module are not processed. The SAP Application error states that there is a CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR and there are no errors in the connector log and trace files.
4.8.3 JR17094 15641 Ale Module ICS version 3.1.2.x displays a RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE and SAP Application displays a "RfcAbort: Transaction Processing Rejected. retry 1." error due to a call that is not available in this version. This patch changes the call to one that is available in ICS version 3.1.2.x.
4.8.3 JR17094 15423 All When consecutive collaboration requests exceed the number of connections specified in property MaxNumberOfConnections there is a 30 second delay between request calls. This delay happens with multi-threaded collaborations or when the SAPConnector is run in multi-threaded mode. This patch changes the default delay setting to decrease the wait-time between requests.
4.8.2   15385 All SAP Adapter (4.8.1) wont start without CwConEnv.bat (Windows) or CwConEnv.sh (Solaris).
4.8.1   15168 ALE Module The ALE module now uses MQSeries to persist ALE IDoc transactions.  In earlier releases, the ALE module used collaborations, maps and relationships in the Interchange Server.

**** ATTENTION ****

Current ALE Module users ONLY: This version of the adapter manages ALE transaction id's and IDocs using MQ Series.  As a result, it is imperative that you allow the current IDoc processing cycle to complete before applying this patch.  Temporarily halt the transmission of IDocs both to and from the adapter and verify that there are no IDocs (files) in the following directories when you upgrade:

CrossWorlds\connectors\SAP\ale\events

CrossWorlds\connectors\SAP\ale\wip

Also verify that any failed or unsubscribed IDocs (files) in the following directory have been reviewed, corrected and re-processed:

CrossWorlds\connectors\SAP\ale\archive

Once all IDocs (files) complete successfully, apply the upgrade and follow the new configuration instructions in the documentation.  For further details, please refer to the adapter guide.

**** ATTENTION ****
