ZMPIF STOP-Stop a Path or Device

Use this command to stop a MPIF path or device.

Requirements and Restrictions

None.

Format




Path
stops a path.

PURGE
stops a path immediately and disconnects all the associated connections.

Name-path
stops the specified path, where path is a 1- to 8-character alphanumeric path name.

System-sysname
stops all of the paths for the specified system, where sysname is a 1- to 8-character alphanumeric system name; for example, TPF.

Device-$device
stops all of the paths for the specified device, where $device is a 1- to 7-character alphanumeric generic device name.

ALL
stops all of the inactive paths.

Device
stops a device.

PURGE
stops a device immediately and disconnects all the associated connections.

Name-$device
stops the specified device, where $device is a 1- to 7-character alphanumeric generic device name.
