gtps4m43 | System Generation |
The following configurations are samples to aid in generating a TPF
system. They were chosen to illustrate some design choices in TPF
configurations. The SIP input (but only that which is required for the
hardware depicted) is shown for each.
The two configurations that are shown and described are:
- A base only system, illustrated by Figure 30. It represents a minimum TPF system without the HPO
feature. It also shows a configuration with a backup processor and the
necessary switching capability to the second processor for the purpose of
switchover.
- A loosely-coupled system, illustrated by Figure 31. The loosely-coupled facility is part of the HPO
feature. The illustration depicts a system with two active processors
and one backup processor in the LC complex.
