Use this command to apply the allocation changes that were specified using
the ZBUFC ALLOCATE command. This command applies the allocation changes
to the control units that are not currently initialized with the new
allocation values.
Requirements and Restrictions
If you are applying changes made for 3990 record cache control units, you
must enter ZBUFC FILE ALL before you enter this command.
Format
- RC
- applies the changes made for the 3880 (RC) record cache control
units.
- RCS
- applies the changes made for the 3990 record cache subsystem (RCS) control
units and the concurrency filter lock facility (CFLF).
- ALL
- applies the changes made for both the 3880 RC and 3990 RCS control units
and for the CFLF.
- TARget
- applies the target allocation values.
- CURRent
- applies the current allocation values.

ZBUFC ?
- If you enter this command while the ZMCPY function is running for a CFLF
device, or while the ZAMOD function is placing a module online for a CFLF
device, the ZMCPY or ZAMOD function ends with a CTL-0F5 dump.
- Processing for this command differs for the 3990 Model 3 and the IBM
Enterprise Storage Server (ESS). See TPF Database

differences.
Examples
The following example applies the target allocation values to all 3990 RCS
control units in the complex.
