Saving search results

When the results of a search are presented, you have the option of saving the results for later retrieval by pressing Save results near the top of the screen. If more than twenty results are presented only the top twenty are saved. Alternatively you can press Modify search to go back to change your search criteria.

Once a set of results has been saved, it appears in a list in the navigation panel. This list of saved results can be retrieved at any time by selecting  Searches  in the masthead. Each set of results can then be retrieved by selecting the search in the list. Only the main search argument is shown in the list in the navigation panel, but the full search argument, including any Boolean connectors and modifiers, is shown in the window status bar when the mouse hovers over the item in the list.

When saved results are displayed each link is followed by a line showing the title of the book containing the article. There are also two buttons at the top of the screen, Delete saved results, and Modify search.

Pressing Delete saved results causes the saved results to be removed from the list of saved results and the advanced search panel is redisplayed in the main panel.

Pressing Modify search causes the advanced search panel to be redisplayed in the main panel preset with the parameters that were used for the search.
