Verification Results
--------------------
Defect/APAR Test Status
----------- ---- ------
APAR IX82689 Set the "nt_after_option" and/or the PASS
"nt_on_error_option" to either "Restart" or "Reboot",
depending on which feature is to be tested at which
time, then distribute the file package to an NT
managed node and watch for the specified condition to
                occur.

APAR IX84553 Create a few thousand files, all of which should PASS
contain "special" characters (i.e. $,>%) and spaces,
then distribute those files using wildcards in the
file package definition. For example, with files named
"My %weird^ file@-1", where the trailing number is
incremented for each file, the file package definition
might contain "My*" as the file specification.

APAR IX85737 Specify one or more files to be distributed that PASS
contain Japanese text, the specify those files in the
file package definition using a shell command, such
                as "`ls /tmp/ja_files/*`".

APAR IX86454 Run the command "wsetfpopts -T gen -E "STRING" @FP", PASS
where "STRING" is a string that is EXACTLY 200 symbols
in length. No more, no less.

APAR IX87674 Before applying this patch, distribute a very large PASS
file package (>100MB) through a non-gateway NT repeater
to a UNIX managed node and time the duration of the
distribution. Apply the patch, then repeat the above
distribution (same file package, same machines) and
time it again. Compare the two times to verify the
                speed increase with the patch.

APAR IX88561 Create a looping script that continually performs an PASS
"ls -l" or "dir" command, as appropriate, on the
directory specified by the "disk_dir" tuning parameter
on the repeater that is to be used for the test. Do
the same for the distribution's destination directory.
Make sure that the destination directory begins receiving
bits BEFORE the "swap" file in disk_dir has finished
growing (i.e. reached the limit established by "disk_max").

APAR IX88983 Create a file package that contains legitimate files, PASS
as well as an empty subdirectory. Specify the legit
files in the file package definition using a wildcard.
Also specify the non-existent files in the empty sub-
directory using a wildcard. Set "stop_on_error" to "n".
                Preview the file package.

APAR IX88985 Install patch 3.6.1-TMF-0003, which created this PASS
defect. Create a file package that will generate a
large number of server side messages by adding more
than 10 wildcard specifications to the filelist
(i.e. /files/*). Nest this file package within
another file package, then preview or distribute that
                file package.

APAR IX89001 Create a file package that contains at least one non- PASS
existent file, then try to calculate the size of that
file package through the Tivoli Desktop.

Regression Tests
----------------
- Installed via SIS, wpatch, and the Tivoli Desktop. PASS
- Performed interregion distributions. PASS
- Performed "normal" distributions (i.e. no error conditions, etc...). PASS
- Distributions w/error conditions PASS
- Distributions w/timeout conditions PASS
- Distributed file packages both less than and greater than 16KB
in size under the conditions mentioned above PASS
- Distributed file packages source hosted across TMR boundaries PASS
- Heavily exercised wrpt, wdistrib, wdistfp, wcrtfpblock, wdistfpblock,
  wrmfp, and wrmfpblock. PASS
- Ran automated Framework tests. PASS
