IBM Tivoli Security Compliance Manager

Installation Utility
You are about to install a components of IBM Tivoli Security Compliance
Manager, Version 5.1.1. You can choose to install the administration utilities,
the server or the database utilities component.
Required Information
Descriptions of the components and information you will need to supply
during their installation are listed below. For more information, please see
the IBM Tivoli Security Compliance Manager Installation Guide.
IBM Tivoli Security Compliance Manager Administration Utilities
Select this component to install the system administration GUI,
as well as the command line interface on the target system. For HP-UX
installations, provide the location of the Java runtime environment. No
additional configuration information is needed.
IBM Tivoli Security Compliance Manager Server
Installing the server provides you with the server function, and
local database configuration, on the target system. To successfully install
the server, you must provide the following information:
- For HP-UX installations, provide the location of the Java runtime
environment.
- E-mail - provide the e-mail server name and the address to send a server
notification e-mail
- Server and client connection ports
- Passwords to be used for the master and server keystores
- The user ID and password to be used for the system administration GUI
- The user ID and password for the database
- For remote databases or Microsoft Windows installations, the location of
the jar or
zip file that contains the JDBC driver and the URL to use for database
connectivity
IBM Tivoli Security Compliance Manager Database Utilities
Installing the database utilities will perform the necessary database
configuration on a remote database. To successfully use the database
utilities, you must provide
the following information:
- For HP-UX installations, provide the location of the Java runtime environment.
- The user ID and password to be used for the system administration GUI
- The user ID and password for the database
- The location of the jar or zip file that contains the JDBC driver and the
URL to use for database connectivity
