Problems Fixed: 

  This is Patch 12, 2.0-ORA-0012, for the Tivoli Manager for Oracle 2.0 Product fixes the problems outlined below unless otherwise explained.

 

  1. APAR IY14039 - ORACLE ARCHIVE SPACE MONITORS FAIL WHEN USING ORACLE 8.1.6
  2. Defect 133813 - Archive monitors need to be fixed to run on NT. 
  3. APAR IY27567 - INVALID RESPONSES FROM RDBMSSTATE PROBE. VALUE='IMPLEMENTATION
  4. APAR  IY26009 - NT ONLY, MAX-EXTENTS-ASYNC AND BACKGROUND MONITOR FAIL TO  PRODUCE RESULTS
  5. Defect 133816 - Alerts monitor currently fails when no previous events.
  6. APAR IY25669 - ORACLEMANAGERCOLLECTION CORE DUMP
  7. Defect 128596 – AsyncOutput Error Message should allocate dynamically
  8. APAR IY25946 – ORACLEMANAGERASYNC FREESPACEDEFASYNC MONITOR SENDS TRUNCATED US
  9. APAR IY26870 – TIVOLI MANAGER FOR ORACLE 2.0 CANNOT HANDLE MULTIPLE
  10. APAR IY22609 – The % Character in init<sid>.ora causes errors.
  11. Defect 133969 - Asyn channel name not getting reset.
  12. APAR IY28891 – The /usr/bin/perl is used before the Tivoli Perl
  13. APAR IY28849 - TFREESPACEFRAGMENTATION RETURN ZERO VALUE                   
  14. Def 133970 - Provide rule set to remap numeric states to textual state
  15. Def 134583 - Need better cleanup of temporary tables
  16. Def 134759 - Archive monitors need to be fixed for Oracle version 8.0.6
  17. Def 134831 - The OracleManagerCollection is timed out by the DM engine.
  18. Def 135213 - Logging an error with % character causes crash.
  19. Def 135220 - The OracleSQLEngine needs to shutdown after running a PLSQL.
  20. Def 135222 - OracleSQLEngine was sometimes dumping core when it timed out.

Defect 136399 Check state fails on aix the first time after a database shutdown using svrmgrl shutdown.

                               

Regression Tests

   Ran the following automated test scripts against the three TMR environments

   before and after the patch was installed with no negatives results:

    Oranotice, Oratask, Oradb, Orainst, oradbasync, Oraspcli, Oraclifwp

Verification Results
