1.0 About this release

This release of IBM® Rational® Manual Tester V7.0.1 includes defect fixes and the following new features:

Use of keywords for statement reuse and test automation. Team members can create keywords from test statements and share those keywords with test automation experts.
Project-based development. In this release, you can create manual test projects to organize and track test assets such as test scripts, logs, keyword libraries, and datapools. Existing test assets can easily be imported into your test projects.
Support for data-driven testing. You can now data-drive your keyword-enabled tests. When you data-drive a test, you insert variables instead of literal values into your test script. At run time, the variables are replaced with data from an external file, called a datapool. In this way you can use a single script to test multiple data records.
Customized import and export formatters. If you have existing test scripts that are written in a non-standard format or application, you can now import your scripts by creating a customized import formatter. You can also create your own export formatter, which enables you to export your test logs to another format, such as HTML.
