Use the rollback feature to revert an updated package back
to a previous version. To complete the rollback, Installation Manager
requires information from the earlier version of the package. Some
packages do not support rollback.
When Installation Manager rolls a package back to a previous version,
it uninstalls the current version of some files and reinstalls the
previous version of those files. By default, the files that are needed
to complete the rollback are saved on your computer. On the Files
for Rollback preference page, you can change the default action and
remove any previously stored files.
To set rollback preferences:
- Open the Rollback preferences page by selecting
- Select Save file for rollback to save on
your computer a copy of files that are needed to roll back packages.
- Click Delete Saved Files to delete all
saved files. If you delete the files and you need to roll back a package,
, you will need to connect to your old repository or insert the media
for the previous version of the package to obtain the require files.
