Accessibility features

Accessibility features help users who have a physical disability, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology products successfully. IBM® strives to provide products with usable access for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Accessibility features

The major accessibility features in IBM Installation Manager support the following assistive technologies:
  • Keyboard-only operation

To define a screen reader for the help system:

  1. Click File > Preferences, and select Web Browsers.
  2. On the Web Browsers preferences page, select Use external browser.
  3. In the External Web browsers field, click New to specify the name and location of the executable file for the screen reader, and click OK.
  4. Select Home Page Reader.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Help > Help Contents to open the online help system with the screen reader that you specified.
