Use the rollback feature to roll an updated package back to a previous
version. To complete the rollback, Installation Manager requires information
from the earlier version of the package. Some packages do not support rollback.
When Installation Manager rolls a package back to a previous version, it
uninstalls the current versions of some files, and reinstalls the previous
version of the files. The files that are needed to complete the rollback are
stored on your computer by default. On the Files for Rollback
preference page, you can change the default action and remove any previously
stored files.
There are two selections on the preference page. Select none, one, or both,
as required:
- Select Save file for rollback to have Installation
Manager save on your computer a copy of the files needed to roll back on your
computer.
- Click Delete Saved Files to remove all saved files.
If you delete the files, you will need to connect to your old repository or
insert the media for the previous version of the package if you want to roll
back your current package to the older version.
