BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Remove Temporary Files
Before you start recording remove temporary files (page history cache files) as this will allow for better automatic page identification by Rational Performance Tester. You may also want to remove any cookies associated with that site based upon your testing needs.

For Internet Explorer:
        Select Tools > Internet options. The Internet Options window opens.
        In the Temporary Internet files area, click Delete Files. The Delete Files window opens.
        Check Delete all offline content and click OK.
        Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Allow Pages to Load Completely
Type the address of the web site that you want to test in the address box of this browser. Browse through the web pages just as a user would do. Rational Performance Tester automatically records your actions. It is important to wait for each page to load completely to help ensure better automatic page recognition. Any extra "waiting time" (Thinktime) will be removed during playback of the recorded session.

When you are finished recording, close the web browser. Rational Performance Tester saves and displays the recorded performance test.
