This documentation supplement describes the new features that have been introduced in IBM(R) Rational(R) Robot version 7.0.2 release. Information in this document supplements the information in the help. IBM Rational Robot version 7.0.2 can be integrated with IBM Rational Quality Manager 1.0. You can run the scripts from Rational Quality Manager and view the test logs. Rational Robot provides an adapter that can be configured and enabled for integration with Rational Quality Manager. The adapter serves as an interface between Rational Robot and Rational Quality Manager. After installing Rational Robot, you must configure and run the adapter. The adapter gets messages from Rational Quality Manager and runs Rational Robot scripts when requested through Rational Quality Manager. After the execution, the adapter uploads the execution log in the Rational Quality Manager server. Rational Robot adapter for Rational Quality Manager cannot be used on Linux(R).
Before you begin using the Rational Robot adapter, verify that Rational Robot version 7.0.2 (projects must be created in Standalone mode) is installed.
The Rational Robot adapter for Rational Quality Manager is installed with installation of Robot version 7.0.2. The installation location of the adapter is <Rational install directory>\Rational Test\RQMAdapter.
You can configure the Rational Robot adapter using the GUI or command-line.
You must configure the adapter before running the adapter for the first time.
If you click minimize or close when the adapter is running, the adapter icon moves to the System Tray. Right-click the System Tray icon for the adapter to get the following menu options:
configureadapter.bat -repository https://<repository>:9443/jazz -user <userid> -password <password> -adapter <adapter ID>
You can run the Robot adapter from the user inference or command-line interface.
Click Start -> Programs -> IBM Rational -> Robot Adapter for Rational Quality Manager -> Start Adapter.
Using Rational Quality Manager, you can install Rational Robot on a remote computer.
The sample projects that are copied during the installation of Rational Robot version 7.0.2 is available in the Rational install directory. On Microsoft(R) Windows(R), the default location is C:\Program Files\Rational\Rational Test\RTLM_BuildForge.
