IBM Speech Systems presents several telephony demonstrations that showcase speech recognition over the telephone. These demonstrations use IBM's popular ViaVoice Gold speech recognition technology to enable callers to speak their requests rather than use the phone keypad. Highlights of these demos include:

  • Speaker independent, continuous command recognition
  • Large vocabulary recognition
  • Text-to-speech confirmation
  • Barge in (The ability to interrupt an audio prompt as it is playing)
