All rights reserved *************************************************************************** IBM MedSpeak/Pathology Version 1.1.2PTF ReadMe This file contains important notes for all users of IBM MedSpeak\ Pathology. Several files are included in this update. They are: \PFT112\ MP112.TXT (Readme) \PFT112\Client\bin\ ENROLL.EXE MCADMINAPP.EXE MPENRAPP.EXE MPTHEAPP.EXE BITMAPS.DLL ENRRESUR.DLL MCDUTILS.DLL MCGLOBALS.DLL MCREPORT.DLL MCSPEECH.DLL MCSPEECHMLE.DLL MCTEMPLATE.DLL MCUSER.DLL MCUTILS.DLL PROFILE.DLL SPCHMGR.DLL UTILS.DLL \PTF112\Speech\spch_ro\bin\ AUDMME.DLL AUDFILE.DLL SMAPI.DLL ENGINE.EXE It is suggested that you thoroughly review the contents of this readme before updating and using Medspeak. This PTF release contains function and fixes included in MedSpeak/Pathology V1.1.1PTF plus the new function described below. *************************************************************************** The following new function is included in this V1.1.2PTF: 1. Auto Mic Off: The microphone will automatically shut off after 60 seconds of idle time. If you're using the mouse and keyboard for 60 seconds the microphone will shut off. Only dictation and voice commands keep the microphone on. The administrator (not the user) can change the timeout time using the Settings editor of the Administration Tool. Set the attribute "MicTimerLimit" to the desired number of seconds. The attribute may be set as a Global, Local or User setting. 2. Muliple Logon Dectection: MedSpeak/Pathology V1.1.2PTF automatically detects when a user is already logged onto a MedSpeak session at another machine. When this situation occurs, the user is presented with a message box indicating the name of the machine the user is already logged onto and instructs the user to logoff the existing MedSpeak session before attempting to initiate another MedSpeak session. NOTE: If a machine running a MedSpeak session is shut down abnormally the user logged on MedSpeak at that machine will NOT be able to initiate another MedSpeak session at any other machine until the "crashed" machine has been restored. 3. Pronounce Word Dialog: An entry field has been added to the Pronounce Word dialog called 'Sounds Like". When a new word is being added to the vocabulary, the Pronounce Word dialog appears with this entry field displaying the spelling of the word that is being pronounced and added. To ensure the 'Sounds Like' spelling of the word is the correct sounding pronunciation, the user has the ability to type into the 'Sounds Like' entry field the spelling they wish to pronounce. With this additional capability, the MedSpeak application can better determine the correct word and associated pronunciation that is being added to the system. *************************************************************************** To install the MedSpeak/Pathology V1.1.2PTF please do the following: NOTE: Before installing the MedSpeak/Pathology V1.1.2PTF be sure to backup your \MedSpeak\Client\bin and \MedSpeak\Speech\spch_ro\bin directories.
