System requirements and prerequisites
The following minimum hardware levels are required to
run the CICS Explorer, and are therefore applicable to Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1:
- CPU - Intel® Pentium® 4 or equivalent.
- RAM - 768 MB in addition to the operating system
requirements.
- Hard disk - 500 MB available space.
One of the following levels of Windows operating system software is required to install the CICS Explorer, and is therefore applicable to Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1:
- Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit
- Microsoft® Windows® XP 32-bit
- Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 32-bit
The following levels of software required to install the Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1:
- One of the following Eclipse-based platforms:
- CICS Explorer (for Windows) V1.1.1.0, or later
- IMS Enterprise Suite Explorer for Development (for Windows) V2.1.1.2, or later
- IBM Workload Simulator for z/OS and OS/390 V1 or later
The Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1 is available in the

Downloading Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1
The Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1 can be
downloaded from the
Problem Determination Tools Plug-in website.
Then follow the Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1 link to the download page. These download files are called WSIM_plugin_v1101.zip (for the user) and WSIM_server_v1101.zip (for the system programmer).

Installing Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1 into CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer
Complete the following steps to install the
Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1 into CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer.
- Check with your system programmer that the components in WSIM_server_v1101.zip have been installed according to the included server readme.txt.
- If setup for WSim Test Manager has not already been perfomed for this user, complete the tasks in "Setting up a New WSim Test Manager (WTM) User" in Chapter 1 of the WSim Test Manager User's Guide and Reference.
- Extract all the contents of WSIM_plugin_v1101.zip to any writable
directory of your choice, for example, C:\WSIM_install.
- Copy the help plugin, from the above example, C:\WSIM_install\com.ibm.wsim.doc_1.1.jar to your CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer dropins directory. For example, C:\CICS_Install\CICS_Explorer\dropins
- Start CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer.
- In the action bar click "Help" -> "Install New Software".
- If a previous version of the Workload Simluator Plug-in is installed,
click on "already installed" to display the list of current plugins.
Select the existing "Workload Simulator Plugin for Eclipse", click "Uninstall"
then "Finish". Allow CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer to restart. When CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer has
restarted, select "Help" -> "Install New Software" again.
- Click "Add".
- An "Add Respository" window should open.
- Click "Local".
- Navigate to the directory storing the extracted files.
- Click "OK".
- Click "OK".
- CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer displays a list of features you can install. Select
the "WSim Plugin -> WSim Plugin for Eclipse".
- Click "Next".
- Click "Next".
- Accept the feature license agreement and click "Finish". There may
be a security warning for unsigned content. Click "OK" if this message
appears.
- CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer installs the Workload Simulator Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1. You will be asked if you want to restart CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer.
Click "Restart Now"
After CICS Explorer or IMS Explorer restarts, read "Getting Started Using
WSIM Plug-in for Eclipse V1.1.0.1" for instructions on how to
display the "Getting Started" help topic, which has instructions on how
to start debugging your applications.

terms and conditions of the IBM International Program License Agreement
(IPLA) and of the associated License Information and other
documentation, and provides a defect correction entitlement for those
licensed users entitled to service for IBM Workload Simulator for z/OS and OS/390 V1.1, or
later. Service is available for this plug-in for as long as the IBM
Workload Simulator for z/OS and OS/390 product with which the plug-in is to be used is
generally supported by IBM. In addition, IBM reserves the right to
discontinue service on this plug-in when it is withdrawn from marketing
by IBM. Please reference "IBM Workload Simulator for z/OS and OS/390" as the entitled
