The minidump browser

Minidump browser with usernotes

The minidump browser has two rulers on the left. The orange text shows the absolute address of the row of hex data, and the grey text shows the address relative to a selected address. Clicking on any 4 byte hex value will try to jump to that address and also re-orient the relative address ruler to the selected address.

Search entire minidump

Like the report browser, the find dialog searches through the entire minidump. Regular expressions can be used for greater search powers.

Creating usernotes

The minidump browser allows usernotes to be created locally through Eclipse bookmarks. To create bookmarks, highlight with the mouse cursor the relevant text in the hex display in the middle. Go to Edit > Add Bookmark. The bookmark will appear in the marker view and can be edited by right clicking the marker in the marker view and selecting "Properties". Right clicking on the minidump browser's vertical ruler on the left will create and remove bookmarks.
