IBM refreshes the documentation in the information center on a
regular basis. Depending on the way in which you access the
information center, you might need to take action to obtain
these updates.
Procedure
- If you access the information center from the
Internet site provided by IBM at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/cicsts/v3r2/index.jsp
, you do not need to take any action, as this site
always displays the most recent refresh of the
documentation.
- If you access the information center over your
organization's intranet, your administrator needs to
check for updates and apply them to the server
installation of the information center.
- If you have the information center installed locally
on your workstation, use the Update function to list
and download any available documentation updates:
- Make sure that you have an Internet
connection.
- Select the
Update
button in the information center (
).
A list is displayed showing the features
that are currently installed in your
information center. A feature is a package
that can contain one or more document
plug-ins.
- Select
Find Updates
.
A list is displayed showing available
updates to your existing documentation, and
any relevant new features that you have not
installed. Each feature has a description.
- Select the documentation that you want to
install, and select
Install Updates
.
Eclipse downloads the features and installs
the document plug-ins into your information
center.
- When the installation is complete, select
the
Finish
button.
You do not need to restart the help system.
The documentation in your information center
refreshes automatically.
- If you access the information center directly from a
CD, use the IBM Publications Center at
http://www.elink.ibmlink.ibm.com/public/applications/publications/cgibin/pbi.cgi
to check the availability of new versions of the CD.
You can order a refreshed CD containing only
unlicensed documentation through the Publications
Center. If you require the licensed books, you need
to order a refreshed CD through your IBM sales
representative, as explained on the Publications
Center.
