Overview of the batch interface

The CICSĀ® Configuration Manager batch interface consists of two programs:

Batch command program: CCVBMAIN
Submits commands to perform the following tasks:
  • Define CICS configurations. Sometimes referred to as "data take up", this is one of the tasks that you need to perform before using CICS Configuration Manager.
  • Process existing change packages: ready, approve, migrate, and so on.
  • Report changes to resource definitions.
Batch housekeeping program: CCVBHKP
Unloads selected CICS Configuration Manager journal records to a QSAM data set, optionally deletes the records from the journal, and then later, if required, loads them back into the journal.
