Planning for BAS

BAS allows you to create CICSPlex® SM objects that define your resources and to group them in such a way that you have close control over the running of your applications. You do not have to transfer all your CSD resources to CICSPlex SM at the same time, neither do you have to decide at the outset which approach you will use. You can extract the resource definition records from one or more CSDs, or only a subset of records from one CSD. You can move directly to using full-function BAS, or you can use migration form BAS, and gradually move towards full-function BAS. You can use RDO, migration form BAS, and full-function BAS in the same CICSplex.
