Using a program error program (PEP)

This section gives an overview of the program error program (DFHPEP). The way this program works, and some design considerations for it, are described in Actions taken at transaction failure. For information on how to write a program error program, see the CICS Customization Guide.

As described under Actions taken at transaction failure, the program error program (PEP) gains control after all program-level ABEND exit code has executed and after dynamic transaction backout has been performed. The PEP can be:
