To navigate around the information center, you can select or expand the
links in the Contents pane. A brief description of what you will find in each
section of the navigation is below:
- The What's new section contains information about the new functionality
in this release of the product.
- The Learning paths section contains a structured set of topics
that help you to learn about an area of the product.
- The Information roadmaps section contains single topics that provide
you with a comprehensive set of links to a variety of resources on the Web
and in the information center for different areas of the product.
- The Using CICS section contains topics that help you perform different
activities with CICS. It includes information on installing, migrating setting
up, and running a CICS system.
- The CICS functions section contains topics that describe the different
functional areas of CICS. It includes areas such as Web services, the Web
interface, DB2 and security.
- The Reference section contains reference information, including
topics that describe API and SPI commands, CVDA values and trace points.
- The Troubleshooting and support section contains information about
how to troubleshoot a CICS problem, and includes a search facility to query
the support information available from the CICS support Web site. There is
also information on where to download fixes, and how to get support from IBM.
- The Library and PDFs section contains HTML and PDF versions of
the CICS manuals. Select the Library and PDFs link to access the PDFs, and
expand the navigation to get the HTML table of contents for each book.
- Selecting Find commands, messages, parameters and more allows you
to look up particular reference information. You can optionally use JavaScript
regular expressions for more advanced searching.
- Selecting Glossary takes you to the terms and definitions of the
CICS product.
