Use the Contents pane and the information center's own control buttons to navigate around the information center.
When you select the Contents tab ( ) at
the bottom of the Contents pane, the Contents pane on the left
side of the window displays the navigation structure. If you have
not yet opened any topics, you'll see the name of each product
in the information center. Click on the name of a product to see
the titles of the topics available for that product. The titles
are displayed as a navigation tree.
Select the topic titles in the navigation tree to display the topic content in the Topic pane on the right side of the window. Each topic has a header and footer, which contain information about the topic and further navigation choices. Topics also have links to the higher-level topic containing them (the parent topic) and to any lower-level topics that they contain (child topics). They might have links to further related topics.
To navigate within the history of viewed topics, use the information
center's own Back ( ) and Forward (
)
buttons.
To return to the navigation tree after running a search, select
the Contents tab ( ) at the bottom of the Contents pane.
When you follow a link within a topic in the Topic pane on the
right, the navigation tree does not automatically change to display
and highlight the new topic. To see where the new topic fits in
the navigation tree and synchronize the two views, click the Refresh
button ( ) or the Show in Table of Contents
button (
). The topic title for the
currently displayed topic is highlighted in the navigation tree.
You can also use this button when you want to find out where a
topic is located that results from a search query.
