            Installation Instructions for DB2 Extenders Version 5.0 PTF
                                    OS/2
 
 
    INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
    _________________________
 
    To install the PTF for DB2 Extender in OS/2, you need 10 megabytes of free 
    disk space on the target drive. The disk space is freed when installation
    is complete.
 
 
    INSTALLING THE DB2 EXTENDERS PTF IN OS/2
    ___________________________________
 
    To install the DB2 Extenders PTF in OS/2, you perform the following
    steps:
 
    1. Download wr20941.exe in binary mode.
 
    2. Run wr20941.exe to extract all the files needed for the installation.
 
    3. Stop DB2 and DB2 extenders if they are running.
 
    4. Run service.cmd to perform the installation.
 
       After installation is complete, the service level of the product is
       recorded in %DMBPATH%\AIVLEVEL.
 
    5. Reboot the system to make the changes effective.
