How to install:
download the self extracting file, sl1s1950.exe, or sles1950.exe, to a temporary directory.
Run it from any command line and follow the prompts.

Select the appropriate directory, depending on whether you have
downloaded the ethernet or the non-ethernet version of the software

If you answered "Yes" to the backup query and wish to
undo the service update, issue the following commands:

<installdrive>:
cd \
<backupexe> -Qdr

where <installdrive> is the drive the product is installed on, and
<backupexe> is the full path of the backup self-extracting file.
Fixes:

INTERNAL  4870
    Symptom:  If SS/2 is installed on a machine which
              has had a CallPath Server installed, the
              startup.cmd file will overwrite the CallPath
              startup lines and put multiple SS/2 startup
              lines in the startup.cmd file

 
    Problem:  The SS/2 install program searched for an
              incorrect set of characters in the file
              to determine if it needed to insert a
              command to start SS/2.

    Solution: The install program was changed to
              search for a more definitive string
              to determine whether or not to insert
              the start command.

 

INTERNAL  5131
    Symptom:  The SS/2 backup procedure did not
              successfully back up the SS/2 system.

 
    Problem:  The SS/2 backup procedure attempted to
              back up the entire SS/2 system to
              diskette and due to the increase size
              of the system, it would not fit.

    Solution: The SS/2 backup procedure was modified
              to be consistent with the new Installshield
              install procedure. The entire system is
              no longer backed up, only the
              configuration files. The backss2.cmd
              was replaced with the instcfg.cmd.

 

INTERNAL  5706
    Symptom:  Certain libraries could not be found
              when executing SS/2.

 
    Problem:  The c:\cpss2 path was being put at the end
              of libpath. If libpath was too long, the
              SS/2 libraries weren't found.

    Solution: Put c:\cpss2 path at beginning of libpath.

 

INTERNAL  5708
    Symptom:  Attempts to configure a switch failed.

 
    Problem:  The galaxy dll which is used during
              the configuration was not being
              installed onto disk properly.

    Solution: The SS/2 install procedure was changed
              to insure the dll was placed in it's
              expected path on disk.

 

APAR  IC27662
               not be processed. This it turn would cause inacurrate CallPath
               events to flow. Condition would last for several minutes.

               the meridian link. Inaccurate meridian link messages are
               generate which causes callstate model corruption.
