How to install:
This is a tar of an installp update fileset.  It includes both the fileset and
its related .toc file.
 
You must have root authority to install this fileset.
o Download csasrvr1840.tar into a directory.
o Extract the fileset using the command 'tar -xvf csasrvr1840.tar'
  and remember the extracted fileset name, csasrvr.obj, for a later step.
o Start 'smit install_update' (for AIX < 4.2 use install_selectable)
o Select 'Install/Update From All Available Software'
o Enter the directory in which the fileset was extracted.
o Enter the fileset name, csasrvr.obj, into the field 'SOFTWARE to install'

PMR  23932
   Symptom: No text is displayed in Network Management window on generic Callpath SNMP
            traps.

 
   Problem:  On generic Server Down SNMP trap events that are being sent via the Callpath
             SNMP subagent, no text was associated with the trap to be displayed in the
             Network Management alert windows.				
             
   Solution: Added text to the generic SNMP trap so that "Callpath Server is down" and
             "Callpath SNMP subagent is stopped" is now displayed in the NM window.

   Symptom:  Unable to monitor CEO servers from CallPath Server UI (or SMIT)

SMIT startup path restrictions have been removed.
 
   Problem:  The files used by CallPath Server to monitor CEO servers were not
             updated using the files from the CEO build.  As a consequence,
             compatability was lost.

   Solution: The CallPath Server build environment is being modified to keep
             these files up-to-date.

    Symptom:  Starting the application trace for a specific program
              using SMIT or smitty would fail under certain conditions.

 
    Problem:  When a request is made to start an application trace,
              the last four characters in the program name were used
              in an atoi function call to determine the program number
              of the application in the server internal tables.
              Therefore, an application named ABCD0001 would have a
              program number of 1.  If the description of the application
              started with a numeric value, for example, 7600@hostname,
              the 7600 numeric was being translated by the atoi function
              because it followed in storage directly after the program
              name and atoi continues translating characters until it
              finds a non-numeric one.  Therefore, instead of finding a
              value of 1 for a program name of ABCD0001, a value of
              17600 would be found.

    Solution: Eight characters are copied to a separate variable which
              always ends with '\0' and this variable is used as input to
              the atoi function call so the program description is not
              a factor in the translation.

 

INTERNAL  5117
    Symptom:  csaclean would not clean up all semaphores under
              certain conditions. This left the user having to
              do so manually.

 
    Problem:  csaclean has a check for a number > 0
              causes it to miss a very large number
              which has it's high order bit on making
              it appear as if it's a negative number.
              This is causing some semaphores to not
              be found by csaclean and, therefore, not
              cleaning up resources in some cases.

    Solution: This check for > 0 was changed to look
              for -1 which is the return the AIX
              command being used returns.

 

INTERNAL  5275
    Symptom:  Any attempts to start/stop application
              tracing for the server using smit failed.

 
    Problem:  The csauiaix command was not invoking the
              appropriate internal commands which
              updated the necessary configuration
              data in the server.

    Solution: csauiaix was corrected to invoke the
              necessary commands.
