There were no error messages on the console. This phone seems to need some initialization before serving as a modem because on windows you need to install a special driver to connect to Internet with that phone. Maybe this lack of init causes the phone's serial port to behave badly and confuse FreeBSD ... (just my 2 cent) Here are the hardware details : (the motherboard is an intel one with an i815) CPU: Pentium III/Pentium III Xeon/Celeron (631.29-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0x686 Stepping = 6 Features=0x383f9ff real memory = 401342464 (391936K bytes) avail memory = 386052096 (377004K bytes) Preloaded elf kernel "kernel" at 0xc0413000.
