The fxtv application works great, even with two copies of it running simultaneously (one on each card). running sysctl hw.bt848 or sysctl -a will crash the machine (the -a version crashes during the hw stuff, probably right at the bt848 part). The crash is 100% reliable and always occurs, as far as I can tell. >How-To-Repeat: Install two Hauppage TV/PCI cards and run sysctl. >Fix: Unknown to me at the moment. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: mike State-Changed-When: Sat Jul 21 20:00:31 PDT 2001 State-Changed-Why: Does this problem still occur in newer versions of FreeBSD, such as 4.3-RELEASE? http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=18924 From: Mike Barcroft To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: kern/18924: sysctl hw.bt848 crashes machine (bktr driver problem?) I originally reported this problem, but I don't know if it still happens on 4.3. I had to move by bt848 cards from my desktop FreeBSD box to another machine running Linux because the Linux machine is part of a cluster that we have. If this is still a problem in a newer version of FreeBSD, a new PR should be opened. http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=18924 >Unformatted:
