Description

Tivoli Storage Manager is a client/server licensed product that provides storage management services in a multiplatform computer environment. You can use the backup-archive client program to back up and archive files from workstations or file servers to storage. You can then restore and retrieve the backup versions and archive copies of files to local workstations.

In Tivoli Storage Manager V6.2, the following backup-archive clients are at the V6.1 functional level:
  • IBM z/OS® UNIX System Services
  • Microsoft Windows Itanium based (IA64)
