Generating a Report from a Result Set

After running a query, you can generate a report on the query results.

You must first have an available report format to generate a report.
To generate a report:
  1. Run the query for which you want to generate a report.
  2. Click the Result set tab in the Change Requests window.
  3. If you want to include only specific rows of the query in the report, select them in the result set. To select multiple rows in the query, use the Shift key to select consecutive rows or click and drag your cursor over the rows. Use the Ctrl key to select nonconsecutive rows.
  4. Click Change Requests > Generate Report.
  5. In the Create Report window, select a report format.
  6. Under Create Report with, specify whether to include all rows or only the selected rows.
  7. Click OK.

The report is displayed in a Report window.

Note: To edit a report use the Edit Report window. If Rational® SoDA is installed on your system you can also generate Rational SoDA reports from the result set. For information about using Rational SoDA, see the Rational SoDA Help.
