Note: If the host machine you specify for the domain source
template is different than the host machine you later specify for the collection
task, the host setting for the collection task overrides the setting you specify
here.
Next to the Source field, click Select.
In the Select
Domain window, specify the domain for the source data.
Next to the Root Artifact field, click Select.
In the Select
Artifact window, specify the root artifact from which to start the
source query.
The Parameters table lists a set of parameters
based on the selected root artifact.
In the Parameters table, under Value, click the row for
each parameter that does not have a value specified, and then type a value
(such as the path to a Rational Rose
model).
Under Source Fields, click Browse. Note that Browse is available only after you
specify all of the required source information (hostname, source and root
artifact).
In the Browse Source window,
select the artifacts to collect from the source domain.
To enter a description for a field in the Source Fields table,
click the Description field in the row that contains the field, and then type
the description.
Save the domain source template by doing one of the following: on
the Designer toolbar, click the Designer icon, or, on the Designer File menu,
click Save.
After you save a new source template, you are prompted to indicate
whether you want to have ProjectConsole automatically create the accompanying
metadata for you. For information about this option, see Having your metadata created automatically.
