To create, copy, or connect to a repository based on DB2 databases, provide
the information described here. If you are creating a DB2 database, you must
also, separately, bind DB2 DataDirect packages to the database you are creating.
This step must be performed for the schema repository database and for the
data warehouse. For more information, see the IBM Rational ProjectConsole Release Notes.
- In the ProjectConsole repository information:
- In theData warehouse information:
- Database type list: Select DB2 as
the database type.
- Database server field: Specify the machine name
of the server where the DB2 server database is running.
- In the Schema repository:
- Name field: Enter the database name of the DB2
schema repository.
- Username field: Enter the user name of a user who
has access to the DB2 schema repository.
- Password field: Enter the password required to
log in to your DB2 databases.
- In the Data warehouse:
- Name field: Enter the database name of the DB2
data warehouse.
- Username field :Enter the user name of a user who
has access to the DB2 data warehouse.
- Password field: Type the password required to log
in to your DB2 databases.
- In the Database connection options, use theConnect
options field to optionally specify any custom connection options
for your site.
