Creating a root page

Rational ProjectConsole Designer Help

To create a root page:

  1. Create a root page template in Rational ProjectConsole Template Builder.
  2. In the Administrator explorer, click the Website Administration node.
  3. On the Tree Control page in the Website Administration window, click the highest-level node in the explorer. This is known as the root-page tree node.

Unless it is configured otherwise, in the Rational ProjectConsole Web site, the root node is named ClassicsCD.com Project.

  4. Edit only the following tree node options:
    1. For type, click Dynamically generate child nodes.
    2. In the Artifact field, enter an asterisk ( * ).

An asterisk in this box indicates that the template you are specifying has arguments in the OPEN command.

    3. In the Template field, enter start/RootPage.
  5. Accept and commit your changes by clicking Accept and then Commit.
  6. Quit Rational ProjectConsole Administrator.
  7. Quit the browser in which you are displaying the Rational ProjectConsole Web site.
  8. Stop and restart the Rational ProjectConsole Web site.
