Program Setttings

Transfer Options

Threads

Specify how many threads are used to transfer the data. The number of threads is the maximum number of parallel working threads.

If the program is running on a maschine with slow hard drives, a smaller number of threads may improve the transfer rate. If the round trip time to the ftp server is large, a larger number of threads does improve the transfer rate.

Blocksize

A threads read the file in blocks. Blocksize is the size of these blocks. A larger reduce the I/O load. A smaller number reduce the memory consumption of the program. The memory allocation is threads * blocksize.
