OS/2 2.11/Warp fix for possible RZ1000/CMD640x PCI IDE data problem Version.1.1 Please follow directions in the README.TXT file to install this fix. Disable Read-ahead mode for the RZ1000 and CMD640x PCI IDE chips in the OS/2 IBM1S506.ADD and CMD640X.ADD device drivers. These are generic device drivers which fix all the above releases and are compatible with systems that DO NOT use the RZ1000 or CMD640x chips. The new IBM1S506 device driver detects the RZ1000 and disables read-ahead for both RZ1000 IDE channels. The IBM1S506 device driver also detects the CMD640x chip and disables read-ahead for the primary IDE channel. The new CMD640X device driver detects the CMD640 chip and disables read-ahead mode for both CANT IDE channels. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PJ19409.ZIP * Download to your system in BINARY Contains the following files.
