Important Info Last Updated: June 16, 2004 This document is intended to make customers aware of PTF changes that may affect the operation of their Content Manager for iSeries (CM/400) product. It also contains general info that might be of interest. We will append to this document regularly. 1. Workflow Search In December 2003, there was a change made in APAR SE11711 that changed the way workflow information is sent down to the Client. The original problem fixed in the APAR pertained to Workflow Info not being sent to the Client unless "Folder Table of Contents" privilege was a 1 or higher. This APAR moved the burden of Workflow security to the "Search Workflow" privilege such that now, you need to have "Workflow Search" set to Y in order to send down workflow information to the client. This will be a permanent change. Because of this change, if your privilege setting does not include "Workflow Search=Y", then you will notice that certain functions are now greyed out in the client (e.g., Remove from workbasket). This is because those functions require workflow information. When you think of "Search Workflow" think of it as "View Workflow" because that is what it really means. Every time you put an object in a workbasket, you are adding that object to a Workflow. Because of this, you need to be able to View Workflow information in order to remove it from a Workbasket. If you have Workflow Search(View)=N and then open an object from the Workbasket, the client just opens the document. At this point the client can't see Workflow information and therefore cannot remove the document from the Workbasket. In order to allow your client to work as it did prior to this change you must change Workflow Search to Y. This may be done at the user level or at the Workbasket level. To make this change at the Workbasket level follow the steps below. 1. Look at the Workbasket information and note the Access List it is assigned to. 2. Look at the Access List by putting an "8" in front of it. 3. Note the Groups and Privilege set it is assigned to in this Access List. 4. Determine the appropriate Privilege Sets to modify. 5. Change the Workflow Search=Y in the Privilege Sets. 2. User Workbasket In APAR SE12326, which was addressed in PTFs SI10927 and SI10928, users with System Administrator privileges for workbaskets were not able to work work packages owned by another user when the workbasket is defined as a User Workbasket. This was not correct, according to p. 31 of the CM/400 System Administrator Guide, so this was changed. 3. Prestart job ending 2. If your prestart job (QVI400) intermittently ends such that current users work fine but new users cannot log on (i.e., the PJ may end but the BCI jobs may still exist), you should download and apply PTF SI14182 for 5722VI1. Another idea that can also help is to create a NEW prestart job associated to a different port. (The default port is 31015 so you can use 31016 or any other unused port.) Then change the FRNOLINT.TBL for some of the users so they point to the new port. Also, you may want to move the new prestart job to a subsystem other than QSERVER. This gives you more flexibility and control, should you need to end the subsystem to clear out QVI400SRV BCI jobs, for example. 4. FRN6216A "Attribute ID does not exist in database" error If you are experiencing any errors in the Client or in the server EKD0080 log regarding Attribute ID's, this problem might be caused by having recently applied hiper PTFs to a V5R2 system. If you recently applied database PTFs MF33029, MF33046 or MF32840 and noticed attribute ID errors, you should download and apply database PTF MF33252 for 5722999. Please reference the PTF cover for additional information: http://www-912.ibm.com/a_dir/as4ptf.nsf/a18db68aae4a7d81862566ba005d145c/0361bc 2362c5f7da86256ea9006e359a?OpenDocument&Highlight=2,MF33252 Other Info: ------------ 1. In the host batch object import process, specifying more than 1 import requestor is only valid if you are importing images listed in an EKD0990 file. 2. This is to explain the implications of putting a "Y" in the Super Access field of a CM/400 privilege set. When you put a "Y" in Super Access, the system will use the privileges as listed in the *ALLPRIV priv set. So, if you have changed the *ALLPRIV privilege set to remove a privilege, then a user with Super Access will NOT have that privilege. The *ALLPRIV privilege set cannot be deleted for this reason. But a customer can change the privileges in *ALLPRIV so they can control what privileges a Super Access user gets. 3. WAF Fax Integration does not support the Facsimile Support/400 Enhanced Services. Please make sure the parameter for "Enhanced Services" is set to *NO when starting Facsimile Support/400 using the STRFAXSPT command (the default is *YES). 4. Passwords in the Work Management Builder should be 8 characters or less or you will not be able to log on. Contact CM/400 Level 2 support if you have any questions about anything stated in this document. We can be reached at 1-800-IBM-SERV. END
