Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.1.7 fixes problems with message truncation and icon
display.  The following problems with JRE 1.1.6 are fixed with JRE 1.1.7:
 
   1) With JRE 1.1.6, messages displayed in a message box are truncated.
   2) With JRE 1.1.6, icons are not displayed on secondary dialogs.
 
Applying this PTF will place the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) fixes and supporting
install files in AS/400 directory \QIBM\ProdData\CA400\Express\Service\JRE automatically.

If the JRE service pack is received from a web download, the customer must
create the \QIBM\ProdData\CA400\Express\Service\JRE directory on the AS/400 manually, 
place the self-extracting JRE117.exe file in this directory, and run
JRE117.exe to unpack the JRE fix files into this directory.
You can then delete the JRE117.exe file to save space, as it is no longer needed.
 
Client Access Express CheckVersion (either Login Service Check or the Check Service Level
shortcut in the Client Access Express Service folder) will detect any new JRE level on the AS/400
and update the client PC automatically.
 
The JRE service pack can also be installed by running setup.exe from the
\QIBM\ProdData\CA400\Express\Service\JRE directory (or wherever the service pack web download
was unzipped to).
 
Installing the JRE service pack on Windows NT requires NT Administrator authority.
 
To prevent users from installing the JRE Service Pack, an administrator can set the
Install Service Pack policy restriction, or can use the SP.TXT file.  If the administrator
places a file named SP.TXT (with a 'N' in the first position of the first line)
in the JRE service pack installation image directory, the service pack will not be installed.
