Install Method : CD-Rom < >WINNT.EXE < >Floppy Previous OS : MS-DOS 5.0 Description of Bug : The Windows NT Chat program drops the connection of the dialed WinNT machine when a special character is typed during the session. Type ALT+168 from the second Chat machine. The other machine is identically configured to the below. I can reproduce this from either machine. Microsoft Windows for Workgroups Chat does not have this problem. Steps to reproduce the problem (please explain step by step): 1. Run Windows NT Chat. 2. Dial another Windows NT machine in same workgroup. 3. Chat for a moment to verify that it is working. 4. Type ALT+168 on other machine - connection hangs up for both parties. Work-around: None found.
