This update includes the following modifications: - With the earlier versions of these files, no error message is generated when a bad CRC is found in the Dir-Sync attachment (.ATT) file. REQMAIN.EXE and SRVMAIN.EXE have been modified to determine the last transaction processed and write that value to the REQCONF.GLB and SRVCONF.GLB files. - When using certain brands of network cards and Novell(R) NetWare(R) version 3.x, the first 6 bytes of SRVCONF.GLB are corrupted. This problem does not occur under all circumstances and is not consistent among operating systems. The next time SRVMAIN.EXE runs, it will fail because of the corrupted data. Changing the buffer size used to read the SRVCONF.GLB record seems to eliminate this problem. TO REPLACE YOUR REQMAIN.EXE AND SRVMAIN.EXE FILES ------------------------------------------------- 1. Insert the enclosed WA0769 disk into your floppy disk drive. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line. copy :\reqmain.exe copy :\srvmain.exe where is the floppy disk drive containing the WA0769 disk and is the drive and directory where your REQMAIN.EXE and SRVMAIN.EXE files currently reside. For example, if REQMAIN.EXE and SRVMAIN.EXE are located in the MAILEXE directory on drive C and the WA0769 disk is in drive A, type the following commands: copy a:\REQMAIN.EXE c:\mailexe copy a:\SRVMAIN.EXE c:\mailexe A message will be displayed after executing each command stating: "1 file(s) copied." This indicates that your REQMAIN.EXE and SRVMAIN.EXE files have been successfully replaced.
