The replacement file provides additional enhancements to the original CONVERT.EXE file, resolving the following problem that can occur when converting Mail version 2.1x folders to Mail version 3.0 using the Microsoft Mail Conversion Program version 3.0: - While converting your folders, CONVERT.EXE may report a network error and then exit. The original version of the CONVERT.EXE program assumes the owner field in the .IDX file is in all uppercase letters and doesn't know how to handle hexadecimal numbers in lowercase letters. To Replace Your CONVERT.EXE File -------------------------------- 1. Insert the enclosed WA0724 disk in your floppy disk drive. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy :\convert.exe where is the floppy disk drive containing the WA0724 disk and is the drive and directory where your CONVERT.EXE file currently resides. For example, if CONVERT.EXE is located in the MAILEXE directory on drive C and the WA0724 disk is in drive A, type the following command: copy a:\convert.exe c:\mailexe A message will be displayed stating: "1 file(s) copied." This indicates that your CONVERT.EXE file has been successfully replaced. NOTE: For this change to affect the entire network, each existing user must run Setup again.
