This update corrects the following problem: - Users moved from one postoffice to another postoffice with the MOVEUSER utility are assigned an invalid identification number if the TID.GLB file on the destination postoffice is locked open. Moving multiple users while the TID.GLB file is locked open results in the same invalid identification number being assigned to multiple users. When Mail is addressed to one of these users, the other users with the same invalid identification number also get added to the recipients list. To avoid this problem, the MOVEUSER version 3.2.8 update will not move a user if the TID.GLB file is locked open. To update your MOVEUSER.EXE file -------------------------------- 1. Insert the enclosed WA1044 disk in your floppy disk drive. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER copy :\moveuser.exe where is the floppy disk drive containing the WA1044 disk and is the drive and directory where your MOVEUSER.EXE file currently resides. For example, if the MOVEUSER.EXE file is located in the MAILEXE directory on drive C and the WA1044 disk is in drive A, type the following command: copy a:\moveuser.exe c:\mailexe A message will be displayed stating: 1 file(s) copied. This indicates that your MOVEUSER.EXE file has been successfully replaced. NOTE: The MOVEUSER.EXE file typically resides on the postoffice server in the Mail executables directory as well as on the local hard drive of the Windows workstation used by the Mail Administrator. Make sure you update all copies of the MOVEUSER.EXE file.
