Resolve FAQ's

Q: What does this message mean: "No More Records Unresolved, or Unable to attach to data source"?

A: The Workstation Stress Results database is created each day around 9:00am. If you try to use resolve before than, there will be no records to view.

Q: Are there any command-line switches so I can open my failures immediately?

A: Yes. One way to speed up Resolve is to create an icon or batch file that includes one of these switches:

/F:<followup> or /f = Open Resolve queried to the Follow-Up specified or to default user

/O:<owner> or /o = Open Resolve queried to the Machine Owner specified or to default user

/N:<#> = Open Resolve queried by a failure number specified

/M:<name> = Open Resolve queried by the machine name specified

/? = Display This Message

Q: What does the Button "APPLY ALL" do?

A: Many times there are many machines which have failed with the same problem. We assign each of these to the same failure number. When you resolve the first failure you can choose Apply-All to set the rest equal to the first.

Q: What does the Button "REASSIGN" do:

A: Sometimes a failure that was asssigned to person #1, actually should go to person #2. Pressing Reassign will allow you to re-assign this failure to the appropriate person.

Q: How do I send mail for a single failure?

A: From the menu bar, choose MAIL, and Send Mail for Single Failure.

Q: Who do I contact with Questions, Problems, Suggestions, etc...?

A: Send Mail to NtStress, with Resolve in the subject line. Someone will get back to use as soon as possible.
