To all users of this FTP site:

Microsoft is discontinuing publishing of KB articles to this public FTP site (ftp.microsoft.com).  

Why? 
We provide an alternative for a more extensible and flexible method of accessing KB content and other solution assets.  


The schedule for doing so is as follows:

February 26 – All KB content will be moved to a new tree within the FTP site in order to alert any automated processes currently accessing the site.

April 16 –All KB content will be removed from the site.

Users that access this site for the purpose of downloading and hosting the KB content in their own support experience are encouraged to consider accessing the same content through a new web service provided by Microsoft Support.  Information about this web service can be found at http://services.support.microsoft.com.  Additional inquiries can be sent to mssonbrd@microsoft.com.
