Falcon 4.0 for Macintosh RAVE.mpr Version History IMPORTANT: This is an UNSUPPORTED update. This update allows Falcon 4.0 to take advantage of RAVE rendering on ATI Rage Pro video hardware if version 1.0 of Apple's OpenGL software is installed. In order for Falcon 4.0 to recognize your ATI Rage Pro, you will need to apply this patch, AND download and install OpenGL 1.0 for Macintosh (available from http://www.apple.com). It should not be necessary to install the entire OpenGL software kit; you may choose instead to simply "Custom Install" the "ATI Drivers for OpenGL". Please note that Falcon 4.0 is NOT fully compatible with these older ATI RAVE drivers; as such, you will may experience graphical glitches or software crashes during gameplay, particularly when using ATI video hardware with less than 8 megabytes of video memory. Please do not contact Westlake Interactive or MacSoft if you experience problems. Instead, you should revert to using Falcon 4.0's software rendering system, and wait for ATI to release their "ATI Universal Update 4.0" software before using RAVE again. 5/28/99 (1.06b - UNSUPPORTED) - RAVE rendering is now activated when version 4.62 of the ATI 3D Accelerator is installed. 5/10/99 (1.06) - Initial release.
