WHAT IS A SYMPHONY ADD-IN? * Symphony Add-ins are software products that "attach" to Symphony and become an integral part of it. Symphony Add-ins can enhance Symphony's capabilities, or they can provide a link to other programs or systems separate from Symphony. Add-ins will be developed by Lotus, as well as by independent developers. WHAT IS A LOTUS CERTIFIED COMPATIBLE? * A Lotus Certified Compatible is a computer system which Lotus has tested in accordance with its Certification Program and deemed suitable for use with Symphony and/or 1-2-3. Lotus will announce compatibility test results as they become available. + Compatibility testing is done both in the United States and in Europe. Because a machine is Lotus Certified Compatible in the United States does not mean that it is automatically Lotus Certified Compatible in Europe. * Computer systems which Lotus deems compatible fall into two classes: -- Those which run a Lotus product under normal conditions and with no known special considerations for the user. -- Those which run a Lotus product under special conditions and/or with special considerations for the user. See the COMPUTER SYSTEM INDEX (Pages 9-18) for a listing of the conditions and considerations. * Lotus Customer Support (617-253-9150) supports Lotus products as they perform on an IBM PC. Lotus will not answer hardware-specific questions about machines which are deemed Lotus Certified Compatible.
