INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING IBM ENHANCED GRAPHICS ADAPTER DRIVERS Before you can use the install program, you must run the E.BAT file. This will rename the files so that the install program will operate properly. Put your disk with the downloaded files into drive A. Be certain that you have an A prompt. At the A prompt, type E and hit the RETURN key. When the batch file is complete, you may proceed with the following instructions. **********************************************************************d What you will need You must have a Disk which contains the following files: EGA.BAT IBM0EGA.DRV IBM1EGA.DRV How to use To install the EGA drivers, perform the following steps: Two-Diskette System 1. Start your computer with DOS. 2. Put the Disk that contains the above files in drive A, and the 1-2-3 Utility Disk in drive B. 3. At a DOS A prompt, type COPY *.* B: and press RETURN. 4. Remove the Disk from drive A, and replace it with the 1-2-3 Utility Disk. 5. At a DOS A prompt, type EGA B: and press RETURN. Follow the screen prompts. 6. At a DOS A prompt, start 1-2-3 as usual and enjoy your new colors with the IBM Enhanced Graphics Adapter. Hard-Disk System 1. Start your computer with DOS. 2. Put the Disk that contains the above files in drive A, and make drive A the current directory, type A: and press RETURN. 3. Type COPY *.* pathname and press RETURN. For pathname, use the name of your hard disk and your 1-2-3 directory. For example, if you have a hard disk called drive C, and your 1-2-3 files are in a directory called LOTUS, type COPY *.* C:\LOTUS. 4. Change the current drive to the drive that contains your 1-2-3 directory, ie C: and RETURN. Change to your 1-2-3 directory. For example CD\LOTUS if your directory is LOTUS. 5. At a DOS prompt within the directory of your 1-2-3 files, type EGA. Follow the screen prompts. 6.
